What Is Radiant Heating?
A radiant system heats your home with radiant heat from hot water circulating in polyethelene pipes. These pipes, called BPEX pipes, can be installed in your floors, walls, or ceilings.
Radiant heating provides even heat, warming the walls, floors, and ceilings to a gentle 85 degrees—about the same temperature as the surface of your skin. When the surfaces around you become as warm as you are, your body temperature is able to find its natural heat balance.
Radiant heating eliminates the drafts and uneven temperatures inherent in forced air systems.
